Maui Surf Forecast
North: Overhead to double overhead surf expected today with some of the best exposures maybe getting up to triple overhead on the sets. Swell shifting from northwest to northeast direction through the day.
West: Surf is ankle/waist high today. Spots catching some of the west-northwest wrap will be bigger.
South: Surf is ankle/waist high today. The best spots catching the wrap could get bigger.
Our current northwest pulse is expected to ease Tuesday. That same storm which generated the northwest pulse then re-intensifies to bring us a large north-northeast swell filling in Tuesday and peaking Wednesday before fading through the second half of the work week. Another small northwest is due in Thursday and Friday.
Nothing significant expected out of the South Pacific any time soon.
Keep in mind, surf heights are measured on the face of the wave from trough to crest. Heights vary from beach to beach, and at the same beach, from break to break.
