Music will be in the air when the brand new music series “Live on LBI” kicks off this June at the Foundation of the Arts and Sciences.
FSA, a marketing and entertainment group based out of Manahawkin, are bringing in singer/songwriters to the foundation in hopes of providing an intimate experience to concert goers.
“Our goal is to provide the finest touring entertainment available playing venues of this size,” Jim Steen, FSA’s house promoter said.
“We are overjoyed to be doing this series on LBI,” he said. “With the reopening of Surflight Theatre on the other end of the Island, our series will complement the resurgence of live performance” here.
Pennsylvania resident Jeffrey Gaines will perform a wide range of genres from folk to alternative and modern rock on June 1 at 8 p.m.
Willie Nile, who has performed with Bruce Springsteen and is know internationally for his rock ’n’ roll, will be on stage June 22 at 8 p.m.
Accompanying Philly native Ben Arnold are Asbury Park’s Matt O’Ree and Eryn Shewell on June 29.
Tickets can be purchased at Eventbrite.com or the day of the show at LBIF in Loveladies. Prices range from $ 25 to $ 35. All seats are general admission. —M.M.
